This is a shot from an amazing series of photographs from Nigeria, by photojournalist Pieter Hugo. Pieter spent time with a traveling band of performers who have hyenas, baboons and snakes for pets, and as part of their act (the part where they distract you with their cool animals as they rob you). If you see this particular gentleman (Dambe fighter) in an ally, or anywhere, I’d suggest you drop your gaze and walk away…quickly. you can actually purchase some of the beautiful photos from the series here.

It’s on in the wild, check out this short attention span remix of the Lions vs. Hyenas National Geographic special. The lioness and Hyenas are pretty evenly matched, but towards the end the King decides enough is enough, comes in and takes names and delivers death…Man they are bad ass.

I’ve stopped watching the Simpsons for many years now…It’s still one of the greatest shows of our time no denying, I just think other shows came along like Southpark etc that diverted my limited tv time. Every now and again they still knock me dead with something really cool though, check out this little twist to the intro.
