The old adage “Don’t judge a book by it’s cover” has perhaps never been more poignantly illustrated than in this great short video by Ignacio Ferreras. Watch as that sinister figure of death lore otherwise known as the Reaper sneaks up on Grannie during nap time. Bad move chump, Grannie’s got game Thanks to the kind and generous Ketogah for the linkage.
So I surf the web a lot, it’s part of my job as a webdesigner…and of course it’s part of an undeniable addiction, of which I am totally at peace with. Today I discovered two new gems that I had not known about, and being that everything is usually more fun, or maybe less shameful if you can share it with friends here you go. First off, I was unaware that the satirical geniuses over at The Onion were pumping out gut splitting videos…some of the funniest crap I’ve seen in a while. This video is not safe for work, and chock full of bad taste…and fucking hilarious. When you’re done with this one, visit the site and waste at least half the day…

Secondly, it’s daily fun over here at the banana lounge to share the most absurdist Craigslist posts we can find, and little did I know that (of course) they have started a chronicle of all the best ones, user nominated.
Well no, they will unfortunately end up in the hands of the Evil Empire…whichever Evil Empire needs small robotic spies. It’s refreshing to know that our inevitable robotic overlords will at least have to cope with annoying flies of their own. Check out the video link on the page…It’s really big and takes a while to load (apparently Harvard scientists are not hip to video compression), but it’s a nice little video. You even get to enjoy some Pink Floyd at the end…because Harvard Microrobotics scientists like the classic rock.
A compilation of TV shows and Movies all using the same scream effect. Here is a funny factoid from Wiki on this legendary audio-
The Wilhelm’s revival came from Star Wars series sound designer Ben Burtt, who tracked down the original recording (which he found as a studio reel labelled “Man being eaten by alligator”). The recording was actually from a film from 1951 titled Distant Drums. Read more…

Enter the macabre and beautiful world of Polish artist Tomek Baginski in this short film. He creates amazingly detailed environments that suck you into his vision. In this film Tomek worked alone, he has released another film called Fallen Art, which was a collaborative effort. Both films are incredible and show vast promise, we look forward to more!

Just how smart are crows? They have been in the news quite a bit recently, and after you watch this video you might be amazed. Watch as this crow bends a piece of wire to help him remove the target from the tube…There is also recent footage of crows creating and using tools in the wild, linked below…

You gotta love a video from an ex-cop giving you tips on how to hide your “stash”. This guy is pretty funny, and obviously most of this stuff is common sense, but hey give it a spin, in 60 seconds you might learn the tip to save you a whole lot of hassle. Best thing to know…he never arrested anyone for pot brownies or cookies, so bake away, I still say it’s the best delivery method…here is a good recipe.
These South Korean soccar fans really are quite amazing, they are cheering for their teams using colored clothing and great coordination to create LCD like images. They have different color front and back, as well as interior lining to create three color schemes. How creative and cool is that!
North Koreans are apparently no slouches when it comes to the human jumbotron either. Click Here to view the North Koreans at work.
What’s cooler than a huge fishtank, well how about a fishtank on your ceiling? Check out this LED ceiling from a Chinese mall, it apparently plays videos and can display photos uploaded by patrons. Most of the time it plays animations like the fish in this video.
