You have to admit most of the stunts on the Badjojo TV show would not be possible in the US. Thank the Gods for Youtube so we can now enjoy these hilarious unconstrained stunts. Check out Badjojo One if this kind of immature humor is up your alley…if not go Rick Roll yourself…bodaggot.
Up until I saw the great film The Aristocrats if you had mentioned the name Bob Saget to me as a comedian…I would have immediately written you off as completely devoid of credibility. the Aristocrats is a film where a group of comedians examine the history of one really dirty joke, and the variations of it. It turns out that the host of the horrible funny video show, and star of the Full House tv show, which I can safely say I have never seen an episode, is indeed a damn funny dirty comedian. Here is him doing an intro at some seemingly Adult Awards show or something in Vegas. The bit about his parents is hilarious.
A really nice Star Trek Mash-up to the tune of White Rabbit…fucking perfect really. The original Star Trek was really pretty damn trippy, and filled with psychedelics. I can’t wait for the upcoming remake. Because I’m a damn nerd that’s why.
You remember them from school right? The proud entrants selling their brilliant ideas for a grade in science class. Here is a fucking hilarious collection of some real winners…”Crystal Meth: Friend or Foe”, “Nail That Wood”, you will even learn to “Build Your Own Dotcom” from a guy who appears to be a real success.
What is this picture you might ask? Is it the Japanese Parliament? Some sort of new Asian sport similar to Rugby only in the nude? Simply an all male orgy in the freezing cold? Two of those answers are almost correct, it is a festival in Japan where ONLY men get nude (almost nude, the title is fortunately misleading) and douse themselves in freezing cold water…to prove their manliness. Perhaps they measure for shrinkage, and the one who’s dick you can still see…is the MAN, although since they are Asians…insert stereotypical joke here. After this clear demonstration of manliness they climax the festivities by getting up close and personal to wrestle over a “bag”. The reporter in the video closes out the segment beautifully by delivering this line without wavering one bit. “Finally…one hand clutches the bag above the throng”.
If you REALLY want to see a test of manliness check out this Amazon tribe and their friends the bullet ants…It’s called a bullet Ant because it hurts like you fucking got shot when the bitch stings you.
Here is a fun little project which seems destined to yield a small robot battle arena. The Bristlebot takes advantage of the angled toothbrush bristles to create a forward motion vibrating bot. It reminds me of the classic football game with the vibrating playing field, in which you would set up elaborate plays using little directional switches on the players, and then set them in motion with a switch to vibrate the playing field. They never seemed to yield the expected results.
There is often a thin line between advertising and torture…Fast food corporations have really gone off the deep end of the surreal landscape recently it seems. Burger King led the way with the creepy King leering in peoples windows and such. Here are two commercials from the lovely child friendly McDonald’s. Can you tell which one is a fake and which one is an actual McDonald’s commercial? The line is certainly blurred sometimes, and the Japanese mash-up here could just as easily be an actual commercial. As a bonus here is a clip of what claims to be the first McDonald’s commercial. I can’t verify the legitimacy of the claim, but check out the old crazy Ronald.
If you are a fan of Marjane Satrapi’s Persepolis series this will be great news. They have turned it into a film, and it looks like they actually did a great job. The animation in the trailer looks fantastic, and like a nice transition from her comics. The film was released late last year and is finally making it’s way over here to the States. Here is a brief summary of the story from Wikipedia-
The story begins just before the Iranian Revolution. Shown initially through the eyes of the nine-year-old Marjane, it shows how people’s hopes for change were slowly dashed as the Islamic fundamentalists took power, forcing head coverings on women and imprisoning thousands; the story ends with Marjane as a 21-year-old expatriate.
