This Bigdog Quadrapod from Boston Dynamics is truly amazing. Watch as it climbs debris, regains it’s balance after a sharp kick to the side, and slips and slides across an icy spot maintaining it’s dignity better than most humans would. It looks freakishly like two people facing each other as it runs, like something plucked from one of the Vegas circus shows.
So far, BigDog has trotted at 3.3 mph, climbed a 35 degree slope and carried a 120 lb load.

This is 100% awesome. Check out this gunfight scene from the Swedish (that’s right) film Kopps. This has to be the best crotch gun scene ever…I guess that might imply there were more than one. Any way you look at it you will learn, don’t fuck with Benny the Cop (while he’s napping).

Human Giant…Season Two is Coming!

The comedy stylings of Human Giant have been really making the rounds here, and with good reason. The show stars NYC based writer/performers Aziz Ansari, Rob Huebel, Paul Scheer and is directed primarily by Jason Woliner. It is sketch comedy and runs on MTV…which explains why I must have missed the first season. They are gearing up to launch a second season of it starting March 11th and you can catch a “preview” on their website. Here are a few damn funny clips from the guys…

Check out this breaking press conference coming to you directly from the lawn of the White House, where President Bush has spent an estimated 75% of his presidency. The newest and most grave threat to our children is not Terrorists, but Zombies! One could probably argue to the similarities between these two good folks hating tribes. Bush declares they should be eating more US beef, it’s good for ‘em, they’d like it, disregarding the fact that Zombies mostly crave brains. It’s time for a new President, can Obama stop these brain eating slow pokes? Hell McCain might actually be one?

Apparently this was deemed too controversial to “air” during the super”bowel”. I find it hard to believe, but I guess that’s another benefit of the Interweb, you can see the things that are actually funny without having to watch the sports, and you can see the ridiculous things that were more offensive than…sports in general? Ok excuse me now, I need to go negotiate the release of the chocolate hostages.
